Es gibt eine Vielzahl von diagnostischen und chirurgischen Eingriffen, die eine Allgemeinanästhesie bei der Katze erforderlich machen. Hierfür stehen dem praktizierenden Tierarzt eine Reihe von Anästhetika zur Verfügung. Der folgende Artikel befasst sich mit dem klinischen Einsatz des relativ neuen Injektionsanästhetikums Alfaxalon bei dieser Spezies.
